Plot: Once every 100 years, a Water Fairy implants an egg into a person who then becomes the Guardian of Fairies. This time, the responsibility falls on Chagumu, the second prince of the New Yogo Kingdom.Chagumu`s life isn`t easy. The king finds Chagumu an inconvenience and attempts to have him killed. As a result, the queen asks a female guard, Balsa, to protect Chagumu. In addition to this, beings from another world, known as Nayugu, constantly attack him in order to eat the egg carried in Chagumu`s body.

thank you for this, now I can finally watch it without the fansubber's dodgy mkv files skipping on every fight scene, which is a crying shame...
excellent unconventional anime, the kids catching frogs are just as well animated as the awesome fights (better than Samurai Champloo and the Kenshin OVA's, which were my high point until I saw this). It has one of the strongest female characters ever seen in anything animated, a badass crazy old shaman lady, child characters who are ugly enough to be realistic, and a white-haired man who actually isn't evill...
Watch it! Buy the dvds when they come out! Then hopefully someone will translate the books..
